Stevie WonderStevland Morris (ne Judkins, May 13 1950) popularly referred to as Stevie Wonder is an American musician and singer. It is said that he is considered to be pioneers in a range of genres like the blues and rhythm, soul and gospel, jazz, soul gospel, and funk. A virtual one-man-band, Wonder's use for synthesizers and other electronic musical instruments during the 1970s changed the rules of R&B. Wonder also helped in the emergence of such genres in the album era. The albums of his were consistent and cohesive and also socially conscious statements that featured complex compositions. Wonder was born blind shortly after his birth, was signed by Motown's Tamla label at the age of 11. He was then given the professional title Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's popularity on the charts was at its height during the 1970s. The singer's "classic period" began in 1972 with the releases of Music of My Mind and Talking Book, the latter with "Superstition" It is among the most distinct and well-known examples of the sound produced by the Hohner Clavinet keyboard. The Grammy Award for Album of the Years was awarded to Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingness's First Finale (1974) and Fulfillingness's First Finale (1974), as well as Songs in the Key of Life (1976). He is tied for third place with the highest number of albums with three Album of the YEAR wins. Wonder is the sole artist to be awarded the Grammy Award for Album of the Year on three consecutive albums. Wonder began his "commercial period" in the late 1980s. Wonder had his greatest hit songs and highest level of fame. He also saw an increase in album sales, charity involvement and high-profile collaborations
